As a fast-growing, established insurance group with a strong Asia Pacific footprint, this organisation is a key player in the APAC market, they are recognised for their robust growth, professional excellence, and commitment to building a best-in-class finance function to support continued regional expansion. They are now seeking a senior finance leader to join as the Financial Controller.

Your New Role

  • You will take full regional ownership of financial control and act as the key finance leader across APAC. This will involve leading the consolidation of group financial statements, driving the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, and ensuring all reporting meets IFRS and local GAAP standards.
  • You will also oversee treasury and cash management activities
  • Apply your insurance expertise, playing a leading role in ERP system implementation and broader finance transformation.
  • Managing statutory reporting, tax filings, regulatory submissions, and external audits across the jurisdictions, as well as building and developing a high-performing regional finance team in close partnership with the Group CFO.

Your Background

  • You are a seasoned finance professional with a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) and 12+ years of relevant experience in a senior controllership or regional finance leadership role.
  • Strong multi-entity consolidation experience across APAC jurisdictions, a solid background in the Life Insurance sector.
  • Hands-on treasury and cash management skills in a multi-currency environment are essential, as is proven involvement in ERP implementations or major finance system transformations.
  • You possess excellent technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, combined with strong leadership capabilities to manage dispersed teams and engage effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Communications in English & Chinese are essential
