Job Description
Introducing Your New Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-regarded insurance intermediary in Hong Kong to place a driven and client-focused professional into an Insurance Specialist position. This organisation has built a strong reputation in the local market and is looking for someone who can take meaningful ownership of client relationships while actively contributing to business growth.
Your New Role
- Serve as the primary relationship contact for a defined portfolio of individual and corporate insurance clients, managing all day-to-day servicing needs with professionalism and care.
- Develop and sustain productive working relationships with insurers, banking partners, and other distribution channels to support seamless client servicing and placement.
- Handle the full client lifecycle — from preparing tailored quotations and negotiating policy terms through to managing renewals, amendments, and ongoing inquiries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, engaging proactively with prospective clients and converting leads through consultative, needs-based dialogue.
- Prepare customised proposals and marketing materials that address clients’ specific financial protection requirements.
Your Background
- A bachelor’s degree, combined with a minimum of three years’ experience in the life insurance industry in Hong Kong; prior exposure to bank assurance or insurance broking channels is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience servicing Mainland Chinese visitor (MCV) clients and an understanding of the distinct needs of this customer segment.
- Familiarity with life insurance product ranges across both domestic and cross-border segments; exposure to high-net-worth clients and group insurance or employee benefits schemes is highly regarded.
- Relevant industry qualifications, including IIQE Papers 1, 2, and 3; Paper 5 is a further advantage.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to build trust with clients and business partners across cultures.
What You’ll Receive in Return
You will be joining a growth-oriented organisation that genuinely invests in the development of its people. In addition to a competitive base salary, the role includes performance-linked bonuses and long-term incentive arrangements designed to reward sustained contribution. This is a role where strong performance translates directly into career progression and financial recognition.
